George is Assistant Professor of Economic Sciences Informatics at the Dept. of Economics of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). He holds a PhD in Information Systems and has completed a research postdoctoral thesis in Data Analytics. His main research interests include Computer Science and Informatics in Economics and Finance, Computational Economics, Information Systems, Operations Research, Machine Learning and Data Science, as well as Big Data and Open Data. He has published more than 30 articles in international peer-reviewed journals and participated in more than 40 international and national conferences. He has contributed in numerous research projects and has been teaching for more than 15 years in higher education, at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, having also supervised large number of theses for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. He is also member of scientific committees, reviewer in scientific journals and member of conference organizing committees
